Social Project Ajud\u00f4u nas Escolas, sponsored by Ball Corporation, will benefit children and adolescents from 7 to 17 years old, for 12 months<\/em><\/h3>\r\n\r\n

Transforming the reality of children and adolescents from Pouso Alegre-MG through sport is one of the current goals of the ONG Ajud\u00f4u. With the social project Ajud\u00f4u nas Escolas, which began its activities in September, 100 children from the city of Porto are now having free volleyball classes (50 places) and handball (50 places) after school hours.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

 <\/p>\r\n\r\n

With 26 years of experience, Ajud\u00f4u is a Non-Governmental Organization, recognized for its public utility in the municipal and state spheres. It was founded in Tim\u00f3teo, eastern Minas Gerais, and has already served more than 30,000 children and adolescents with free judo and other sports classes. Currently, Ajud\u00f4u is arriving in more than 30 cities in 4 Brazilian states.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u201cWe are very happy and honored with this new partnership with the municipality of Pouso Alegre. Our mission is to help young people through sport and to reach a new city, it is to have confirmation that our work is reaching and changing the lives of many people\u201d<\/em>, reports the Founder and Executive Director of Ajud\u00f4u, Julio Cesar Lana Jacques.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Ajud\u00f4u nas Escolas will bring a series of benefits to the municipality that go beyond sports classes. In addition to goals and tackles, students strengthen their sense of community, increase their social circle and learn about volunteering. Therefore, the development of social sports projects across the country are of paramount importance, because when young people have contact with the concepts and virtues of Ajud\u00f4u, they have the possibility to form their character and have a different future, otherwise they would have if idle at home or on the streets.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The Ajud\u00f4u nas Escolas Project is sponsored by Ball, encouraged by the Federal Sports Incentive Law and supported by the Pouso Alegre City Hall. Registration is open for 100 children and adolescents (male and female), between 7 and 17 years old, to practice volleyball and handball lessons for 1 year.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u201cSport here in Pouso Alegre is highly valued by the population. With the arrival of a social project, children will have the opportunity to have access to sports and, consequently, will be less on the streets, with a lower propensity to illicit activities\u201d<\/em>, says volleyball and handball teacher, Reinaldo Paiva.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Classes will take place at Quadra Esta\u00e7\u00e3o da Cidadania (CEU Square), located at Avenida Pinto Cobra (Perimetral), n\u00ba 970 – Bairro S\u00e3o Camilo – Pouso Alegre (MG). The activities started in September and are carried out twice a week, always in the students’ school shift, lasting 1 hour.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The student’s self-esteem is developed during all stages of the project. An example is the uniform kit that each one will receive, containing: uniform (shirt and shorts), sneakers and socks, considering that these make a difference and provide a better experience in sports.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u201cOur main objective is to assist children and adolescents in social vulnerability. And as we all know, many of them do not have any opportunity to practice oriented sports, let alone adequate sports equipment. Therefore, it is extremely important to deliver these uniform kits to them, because in addition to giving them a better condition for taking the class, we arouse great motivation in all students. And motivation is a fundamental characteristic to keep our students frequent in classes, so that we can achieve all our goals.\u201d<\/em>, says the coordinator of the Ajud\u00f4u nas Escolas Project, Gunter Campos\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Protocol for Resumption of Sports Activities at Ajud\u00f4u<\/strong><\/h4>\r\n\r\n

To carry out the assistance, without putting children and teachers at risk, the Protocol for Resumption of Sports Activities at Ajud\u00f4u in the context of Covid-19<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The Ajud\u00f4u manual aims to pass general health safety rules against Covid-19 according to the reality of each location, that is, sport classes will be adapted according to the Ajud\u00f4u guidelines, which can be revised. Below are some example guidelines:\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\r\n\r\n
